Bob Ryan sent me to this job Sat May 26 2012 to report to ‘Mike'. At the end of the first day (Saturday) I asked Mike for 'A check, cash or an IOU.' He said 'I am not your employer…' but on my insistence he did finally sign a time-slip, with the initials 'MC'. At the end of the second day (Sunday) I asked him for a signature on a time-slip again. Note the scrawl at the bottom of the second image, different the the initials above, different than the three scrawls below.

Mike | Mike told me that he was not an employee of High Plains Concrete but of ‘My Place Motels', the builder, property owner, and eventual operator of the facility being built.
Said of himself: 'I am The Asshole' while he made the three scrawls shown left in place of signature.

 Steve |
On Tuesday morning I had some conflicting orders between Mike and this man Steve, who told me he was a local concrete contractor working wages on this particular job. I showed the inadequate signatures on my time-slips to Steve and suggested that High Plains Concrete might assign Steve as my Foreman -- in place of Mike -- such that I would take my orders from Steve and he would sign for my time. Steve agreed this was a good idea.

Twice refused to even look at these time-slips.

Refused me the address of his office.

Leif Peterson arrived at 11:45 Tuesday in company truck. He had been on site a few hours earlier but refused to even look at these time-slips. When he arrived again at 11:45, I asked him to appoint Steve foreman and that Steve sign the slips shown. He said 'I don’t have a problem making Steve foreman. I do have a problem with you: You are off this job-site.' For the 2nd time he refused to even look at these time-slips. He refused to give me his full name. He refused me the address of the High Plains office.

From Bobby Ryan four months later Oct 25, 2012:
Your a dumb ass! I saw your little web page you made! Lol. You were lazy and incapable of doing the job you were hired to do. You were asked to wait a few minutes while Larry was on his way with your paper work so he could pay you, but instead you rode off on your bike, and were gone when he arrived a few minutes later. Then started harassing me and everyone else with your emails, defamation and slander against us and our company. It is not our responsibility to chase you around to get you to fill out your employment paperwork. We have never denied anyone their pay in the history of the company. I imagine you probably have problems at every company you work at. After the things you have said about us and our company, none of us will go out of our way for you. If you want to be paid for your hours of accomplishing nothing, come fill out your paperwork and stop sending me your stupid emails. I have better things to do than deal with you!

Larry Wolfe (307 426 4181; larry@highplainsconcrete.com) has sent me as email attachments forms F-4 and I-9. This is the first and only move on the part of High Plains Concrete even suggestive of intent to pay my wages.
Considering the bizarre behavior of your designated representative Mike Cazier as described above, and considering the extremely improper behavior of your de-facto representative Leif Peterson concerning the same time-slips, in that instead of listening to my complaint and looking at these weird signatures he ordered me off the site, I believe you never did intend to pay, and that Cazier and Peterson knew that.
Your multiple failures to respond to my communications on this matter confirm this notion.
I strongly suspect you are guilty of similar transactions with other employees. I invite you to convince me otherwise.
